Handdyed Border Leicester Long Wool Hand Washed Locks 50g 1.8oz OOAK - Green Machine

£5.00

Limited Edition Border Leicester Locks: Green Machine

Average Lock Length: 3.5-4.5 inches

Sold in lots of 50g (2× 50g will be packaged together as 100g)

These locks are incredibly shiny and their sheen is like silk. They're very clean and are perfect for doll hair and textured yarns. The locks are very lightly curled and minimally processed to maintain the lock structure.

The locks are impeccably sorted and washed, leaving you with very clean, soft locks. Efforts have been made to keep the locks aligned (shorn ends together) throughout the sorting and washing process. All you'll need to do is separate, fluff, and craft to your heart's desire.

This is a medium soft wool, yet it is very shiny and smooth. Border Leicester longwool is known for it's shiny, curly locks, and sometimes referred to as 'poor man's [person's] mohair'. Fleeces will have areas which form slightly different lock structure, with some locks being more tightly curled than others--this is normal.
